FAQs
You can use a fork to test them. Just stick a fork down into the Brussel and see if it's tender. If they're fork-tender, they're done and ready to eat!
There are so many toppings to consider! Parmesan cheese is one of my favorites, but melted butter on top is amazing as well. You can also just use salt and pepper and put that right on top.
Yes, you can freeze cooked Brussel sprouts! Just let them cool down all the way and then store them in the freezer.
Yes, you can. This is actually great news because you don't have to worry about undercooking them! If you like them to have a crunchier texture, then that works out just fine.

I made this based on a comment above to adjust cook time. My change would be to sauté (no broth) 3-4 minutes, then pressure cook for 3 next time. I am not a fan of really soft, squishy brussels sprouts and even with a lower cook time they were still mushy.
How long do you let them marinate?
Not too long, maybe just 10 minutes.
Can I use frozen Brussels sprouts.
You could, but they won't get as browned as using fresh, so I prefer to use fresh if possible.
This brussel sprouts recipe is so good. Followed it almost as directed. But, I was too hungry to let them marinate more than two minutes. The brussel sprouts still turned out great. Thank you for posting this recipe Corrie. It will definitely be added to my rotation.
Do you use whole sprouts or do you halve them?
how long do u marinate them for
I followed the instructions exactly. Next time I’ll modify. Suggestions: 1. sauté Brussels sprouts without the broth to get some browning (they just steamed in the broth). 2. Cut the pressure cook time down to 3 minutes. They’re very tasty but quite mushy. Yummm otherwise!
Thank you for this tip.
Can I use water instead of vegetable broth?
Yes you can :] If you do so, just add more spices.
Can you air fry a protein like chicken at the same time, and how so?
Do you add any fluid to brussell sprouts?
Yes vegetable broth is used in this recipe. Due to typing error it was missed. Thanks for bringing this in my notice 🙂
I don't have an instapot, I do have a slow cooker. How would I cook them in this?
