Recipe Ingredients

ingredients to make instant pot gravy

Butter - I like to use unsalted butter here because I'm adding in more salt as needed.

Flour - This helps to thicken it up to get that gravy texture.

Chicken broth - You can also use Instant Pot Bone Broth , Instant Pot Chicken Stock or Instant Pot Turkey Stock.

Salt and pepper - to taste.

Variations

Change up the seasonings - You can easily add in garlic powder, onion powder, or even some minced garlic as well.

Use a different type of stock - I like using chicken stock, but vegetable stock is another great option.

Recipe Notes

  • If the gravy is too thin, you can easily thicken it up by adding in a small amount of cornstarch. Just add, stir, let it simmer, and then serve or add some more to thicken it even more.
  • Make sure that you're stirring the flour when it's in the Instant Pot as you don't want it to burn. Use a wooden spoon to stir so that you don't scrape up the inner pot.
