Recipe Ingredients
Heavy cream - This adds richness to the chocolate once it's melted.
Amaretto liqueur - Talk about a treat! You can omit this as well if you do not want to have the alcohol in the recipe.
Chocolate - I use bittersweet chocolate, but you can really use any type of chocolate that you want.
Sugar - Helps to add some sweetness!
Water - This is used in the Instant Pot to melt the chocolate.

Variations

Make it alcohol-free - Just leave out the alcohol, and you're all set!
Recipe Notes
- If there are still lumps of chocolate that remain after cooking, just stir until they melt.
- The chocolate mixture will be extremely hot, so be careful when eating. It's a good idea to let it cool a bit so that it's thicker and easier to dip into.
How to serve
There are so many fun foods that you can serve with your fondue! Some of my favorites are:
- Strawberries and other fresh fruits
- Banana Chips
- Cool Whip Fruit Dip
- Marshmallows

And this isn't even all the list! You can easily mix and match with whatever you'd like! For more ideas, check out What To Serve With Chocolate Fondue.
Recipe FAQs
If the fondue is too thick, you can just add in some more heavy cream or a little bit of milk and stir. Add a little at a time so you don't overdo it.
Yes, you can store and reheat fondue. Once the chocolate is melted, you can just reheat it in the microwave when you're ready to enjoy it again.
If there are still lumps in your fondue, then you need to stir it a bit and try to get those extra lumps to melt.
This fondue works great as a cake topping for Instant Pot Chocolate Cake or these Instant Pot Brownies.
If you find that the fondue is a little runny, you can thicken it by adding in some more chocolate and stirring it in until it's melted.
