Are these Banana Chips healthy?

A raw banana provides plenty of health benefits.

But to be honest, You ain't going to gain these benefits when you consume a single serving of these banana chips...

(Just end up having extra carbs and fat...)

On the other hand, Banana chips are a healthier alternative to potato chips and other store-bought snacks.

Can I make it without the Air Fryer Lid?

Air Fryer Lid (or similar lid) is the best option, but if you don't have one, here are a few more ways:

Dehydrator

Dehydrate at 135°F for 10 hours.

Then lip the chips and dehydrate for another 2 hours or until dry.

You can also use the dehydrator function on the Instant Pot \ Air Fryer lid.

Oven

Heat oven to 200 °F and bake for 1 hour. Flip and bake again for 1 more hour.

Microwave

Place in a single layer on a plate and microwave for 1 minute.

Flip chips and microwave for 1 more minute.

Wait 1 minute and microwave for 1 last minute.

What kind of toppings and seasonings should I use?

There are a bunch of options with seasonings.

Just a little bit of salt is one of my favorite ways to snack on my banana chips. But you can try:

  • Changing up the salt.
  • Vary spices like ground cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, paprika.
  • Use cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, or chipotle to add some heat
  • If you have a sweet tooth then add melted chocolate, cardamom, or cinnamon sugar at the end to make them sweeter.
  • soak in water with lemon water instead of salt & turmeric.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Of course, make them ahead for an anytime snack or eat.

Just let the chips cool down and then store them in a dry airtight container for a week.

Make sure they are completely cool so no moisture is added to the container.
