Butter - Makes sure the eggs won't stick to the Instant Pot. If you want, you can use olive oil instead.

Cheddar Cheese - is an ideal ingredient that changes the flavor and texture of the recipe.

  1. Will try the egg recipe today. Q: I don't have the holder for hard bouled eggs. Is there anything else I could use? Thx

    1. For hard boiled eggs, you can place them on any type of trivet. You don't need any trivet for this scrambled eggs recipe.

  2. Thank you! just from reading the comments and using a little bit of brain-power i just realized i have the power to make gravy from scratch five steps away from my nuwave oven. Bye pre-made!!! Today i even used the saute function to sterilize my surgical scissors and tweezers that i couldn't put in the microwave! Once i learn how to pressure cook and sousvide i should be hard to stop.

  3. New to instant pot as well Know how to make hard boiled eggs but can hardly wait to try this recipe. Looking forward to more.

  4. Waiting on replacement stove.
Your recipe allows me to cook eggs in the morning using my IP.

  5. Thanks. I moved into a new place without a cooktop/oven, so my mom gifted me an Instant Pot. Looking forward to trying this tomorrow morning since I've been missing breakfast since I moved here a few weeks ago and have only been eating cold breakfast, or ordering in which is getting pricey.

    1. What a great gift! The Instant Pot is a lifesaver for homes without a cooktop. I really hope you like the recipe!

  6. THANK YOU! Our kitchen is being renovated right now, which means my only cooking options are the IP, microwave, and an air fryer. Stove is totally unavailable!! I missed eggs and this helped. Thanks!!

  7. Corrie, on the sauté function you say to wait until ‘Hot’ appears. My 6qt Duo has the selections ‘normal’, ‘less’ and ‘more’ for sautéing. Am I correct that this recipe will use ‘normal’? As I’m getting more and more into using the sauté button, I’m reading recipes that state which sauté level to use. Thank you for your fail-proof recipes.

  8. I'm new to Instant Pot cooking, other than steel cut oats. These eggs were delicious and easy! Thanks for all of the recipes. I can't wait to try more!! Two thumbs up!

  9. As a solider who hasn't been able to eat much of any good brekfests in months thank you so much for letting me know this can be done! Absolute life saver.
