Recipe Ingredients
Whole eggs - are the star ingredients in this recipe that create structure, bind, and tenderize the whole setup. You can use medium, large or extra large eggs. The recipe stays exactly the same 🙂
Milk - Adds fats and sugar to help provide a crisp crust, color, and flavor to the recipe. Adding fresh milk improves the texture and mouthfeel of the recipe. You can also use Half and Half instead.
Butter - Makes sure the eggs won't stick to the Instant Pot. If you want, you can use olive oil instead.
Cheddar Cheese - is an ideal ingredient that changes the flavor and texture of the recipe.

Instead of milk, use 4 tablespoon of water. Instant Of butter, use 1 tablespoon of oil. And of course take of the cheddar cheese or use a vegan version.
Same cooking time and method 🙂
Can I use Instant Pot mini to make this recipe?
Sure! 3-quarts is enough and you can use any small pressure cooker for this recipe. No need to take out the big pots...
Do I need to use the pressure cooking function?
No. This pressure cooker scrambled eggs recipe is very simple, and made using the Saute option only. So no need to wait the Instant Pot to create pressure.
How to prevent eggs from sticking to the pressure cooker?
After you press "saute", wait for the Instant Pot to displays “Hot” on the screen.
That way you will make sure the butter melts \ the oil is ready.
If you add the eggs too soon, you will need to scratch eggs from the bottom of the pot, and it's not fun at all.
How to serve?
Serve this scrambled eggs recipe with a fresh a bread or with this Instant Pot French Toast.
In fact, scrambled eggs is one of the best side dishes for French toast since it's so quick and easy.

Will try the egg recipe today. Q: I don't have the holder for hard bouled eggs. Is there anything else I could use? Thx
For hard boiled eggs, you can place them on any type of trivet. You don't need any trivet for this scrambled eggs recipe.
Thank you! just from reading the comments and using a little bit of brain-power i just realized i have the power to make gravy from scratch five steps away from my nuwave oven. Bye pre-made!!! Today i even used the saute function to sterilize my surgical scissors and tweezers that i couldn't put in the microwave! Once i learn how to pressure cook and sousvide i should be hard to stop.
New to instant pot as well Know how to make hard boiled eggs but can hardly wait to try this recipe. Looking forward to more.
Welcome! 🙂 I hope you are enjoying it. Lots of recipes to try out..
Waiting on replacement stove.
Your recipe allows me to cook eggs in the morning using my IP.
That's great to hear! The Instant Pot is so helpful in these situations.
Thanks. I moved into a new place without a cooktop/oven, so my mom gifted me an Instant Pot. Looking forward to trying this tomorrow morning since I've been missing breakfast since I moved here a few weeks ago and have only been eating cold breakfast, or ordering in which is getting pricey.
What a great gift! The Instant Pot is a lifesaver for homes without a cooktop. I really hope you like the recipe!
THANK YOU! Our kitchen is being renovated right now, which means my only cooking options are the IP, microwave, and an air fryer. Stove is totally unavailable!! I missed eggs and this helped. Thanks!!
These scrambled eggs are great. A+++++++++++++++
So happy you love them! I do too 🙂
Corrie, on the sauté function you say to wait until ‘Hot’ appears. My 6qt Duo has the selections ‘normal’, ‘less’ and ‘more’ for sautéing. Am I correct that this recipe will use ‘normal’? As I’m getting more and more into using the sauté button, I’m reading recipes that state which sauté level to use. Thank you for your fail-proof recipes.
Yes, you are correct. 'Hot' will appear when the preheat is completed.
I'm new to Instant Pot cooking, other than steel cut oats. These eggs were delicious and easy! Thanks for all of the recipes. I can't wait to try more!! Two thumbs up!
Thank you so much!
As a solider who hasn't been able to eat much of any good brekfests in months thank you so much for letting me know this can be done! Absolute life saver.
So happy I could help 🙂
