I am so glad that I found this, I am getting ready to go over the road in a simi truck with my husband and am going to just have a 3 qt instant pot and a roadpro lunch box oven to cook in so this is a great way to make eggs and bacon in the lunchbox.
So happy you like it ๐ Enjoy your road trip!
Some people live in places with no cooktops. Other people want to camp or live in an RV and don't want to use propane. The instant pot is very useful in cooking in these situations.
Exactly ๐ That's why I'm loving it soooo much!!
Frying anything on a cooktop causes splatter. Which means cleaning the stove 3 times a day. No thanks. If I can use the IP to fry/cook instead of the stove I will.
As I was saying breakfast for my girls this morning I discovered that my propane had run out...
Then I thought, certainly between the instant pot and the air fryer I can work something out.
Thanks for paying this recipe. I found it very useful this morning.
Glad you like it ๐ Yes it's a great solution for an easy breakfast....
Hi,
New to this site today. I'm a bit confused about how using the I.P. is any different than using a simple frying pan which is quite a lot less to clean. Thanks for any help with this. : )
I was wondering that myself. . . ? My non-stick frying pan works just as well and isn't as awkward to clean afterward. . . .
I'm So glad to hear it! I wish you many more recipes in the future...
Great recipe! I like that you didn't use the pressure cooker option like many other websites did.
For cooking eggs the saute button is enough.
Exactly. Simple is better ^_^
Can I make it without the milk? My son is lactose intolerant...
Yes you can. Just remove it replace the butter with 2 tbsp canola oil.
You can use water instead. I scramble eggs with water instead of milk all the time.
Use oat milk. Tastes better than any dairy, and better for the body.
Do your eggs stick in pan? Mine did even with generous butter
Trying to perfect for a camping trip
I used PAM instead of the butter
Sounds good. You can also use oil or canola oil instead of the butter.
If you use Pam did the eggs still stick to the pan????
They shouldn't stick if you use PAM. Make sure to fully coat the bottom and lower sides of the pot to ensure they don't stick.
What do we do with the cheese?
It was just a typo. Now I have mentioned in the instructions.
#2 tells you
Wow that was super easy! Next time I will try adding the cheese.
