Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon oil
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 12 black peppercorns
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 black cardamoms
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 4 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lb mutton boneless or lamb
  • cilantro for serving

Instructions

  • Select "saute" and add oil.
  • Add onions, ginger, garlic and green chili to the Instant Pot and saute for 4 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and spices and saute for 2 more minutes.
  • Add mutton, stir well and close the lid.
  • Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  • When cooking time is complete, wait for a natural pressure release (or for at least 20 minutes).
  • Open the lid garnish with cilantro and serve 🙂
