Can this be converted to slow cooker or top of the range cooking?
I’m using pork neck bones so how long do I cook them before I put in the cabbage and vegetables ?
Oh, yum! I think I would precook them in the instant pot for 20 minutes, then open, add remaining ingredients, and continue to cook for 25 minutes longer. You could also pre-boil them if you'd like...
We added 1 cup of arborio rice and the kids love it
Yum! Glad you liked the recipe!
This is an amazing recipe with pork and veggies. I have tried this recipe and it turned out awesome. As I'm a veggie lover, I want to add more vegetables to it. How do you think adding peas, potatoes, and spinach would go?
I'm also a great fan of vegetables. However, I think spinach won't work wonders in this recipe, but you can definitely try peas and potatoes. Also try adding some zucchini!
I made this over the weekend. I must say that ground pork and cabbage make a lovely combination for a soup. I have made some soups with chicken and beef, but I really adore this one. This recipe has come really close to my heart. My family loves it, so I have to make it again next week.
Thank you so much, Keri for the lovely compliment. You made my day!
This looks delicious! I'm hungry to see the recipe. However, I’m not very fond of cooked carrots. Can you recommend any other vegetables?
If you are not fond of cooked carrots, you can simply omit them or choose to add peas or cubed potatoes.
