Usually, making Korean Sauna Eggs takes at least 8 hours and you should make them over night. But with the Instant Pot, you can get a perfect Sauna Eggs in only 2:30 hours.

You can get a good result in 120 minutes or even 90 minutes, but from my experience, 150 minutes (=2:30 hour) are the perfect time.

You can play with that and use a different cooking time each time. You can even set the timer to 90 minutes, release the pressure, taste one egg and then cook them all again for 60 more minutes 🙂

Some people call them Huevos Haminados, some people call them simply Brown Eggs, but they are all basically the same.

Do I need do use a trivet?

No. Unlike the Instant Pot hard boiled eggs, for this recipe you don't need a trivet. I tried making Sauna Eggs using a trivet and didn't like the result.

How many eggs can I make at once?

It's up to you. My offer is 6-12 eggs. You can make more, just make sure that all your eggs fit in a single layer.
