ingredients needed to make golden milk in the instant pot

Almond Milk - Almond milk is an excellent source of vitamin E and is great for muscles. It gives your drink a creamy texture and a yummy nutty flavor. You can also substitute it with cow, cashew, coconut, oat, or any other you like.

Almond Flour - Almond flour contains a good amount of protein and fiber, which is why it is very beneficial and healthy to use. If you don't have almond flour in your pantry, then cashew flour will be the best alternative for your nutritious golden milk.

Turmeric - Turmeric has fantastic health benefits, and it's an essential ingredient in this recipe. Turmeric gives a pretty golden color to this milk and can also help with:

  • quick relief from pain
  • decreasing the chances of cancer
  • getting rid of acne
  • the health of your brain and heart
  • work as good medicine for you if you're under weather or facing any viral infection
  • boosts up your immune system making you feel fit and healthy, and so much more.

Cinnamon Powder - Cinnamon Powder adds in a bit of sweet and woody flavor with a little spicier kick and is great for a sore throat, blood pressure, and diabetes. If you love the taste of cinnamon, go and check my cinnamon roll recipe.

Ground Ginger - Ground Ginger is an essential ingredient for stress, lung disease, and heart disease. It adds a spiciness to the drink but does taste very different than fresh ginger.

Other Spices - Besides all these, I have used peppers for taste, nutmeg to add in nutty and slightly sweet flavor plus it is known for calming the nervous system and improving blood circulation, and ground cloves.

Since this recipe is very specific on how it's made, there aren't a ton of variations that are an option. I've highlighted a few below that may work.

Use maple syrup - If you don't want to use honey as a sweetener, you can opt for maple syrup instead.

Serve with ice - Although this drink is supposed to be enjoyed warm, pop in some ice cubes and see if you like it chilled. Who knows - it might be a hit with your tastebuds.

Helpful Tips

  • Always stir the golden milk before serving as the adding spices will sink to the bottom.
  • For the best soothing properties, drinking a glass before going to sleep is encouraged!
