Cooking chickpeas in Instant Pot could not be easier ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a no-soak method and you just have to place chickpeas in the Instant Pot, cover with water and let the Instant Pot does all work for you.

What can I do with Chickpeas?

Chickpeas have a great flavor, so you can eat them as is as a healthy sneak

Alternatively, you can use chickpeas for salad, chickpea curry, or even for a delicious homemade hummus.

How to cook chickpeas in Instant Pot?

This is quite an easy method. As mentioned, you will just cover the chickpeas with water, add a pinch of salt and cook in the Instant Pot. The cooking time usually takes 50 minutes.

Still, if you want to cut down on the cooking time, you can soak your chickpeas overnight. In that case, the cooking time will take around 12 minutes.

Do I need to soak the chickpeas overnight?

No. For this Instant Pot chickpeas recipe you don't need to soak the chickpeas.

Many people believe that soaking dry beans can remove some of the indigestible sugars. As believe these sugars cause bloating and stomach discomfort.

I have made both versions, and believe me I have not spotted any difference.

Can I quickly soak the chickpeas?

Of course, you can. Place the 1 cup of chickpeas in an Instant pot, and cover with three cups of water. Cook on the high pressure for 2 minutes, and release pressure naturally.  Rinse the chickpeas and cook for another 12 minutes, in clean water, and at high pressure.

How to make chickpeas

Gather your ingredients:

Place chickpeas in Instant Pot. Cover with water and add a pinch of salt.

Lock the lid into place. Select Manual. Set to High pressure and cook the chickpeas for 50 minutes. Once the cooking cycle is done, perform a natural pressure release.

Serve chickpeas and enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚
