Cake mix - we are using lemon cake mix to make lemon cake. You can use any cake mix you like.

If the cake mixture package has special instructions, follow them in order t make the cake mix.

Eggs - essential in baking helps to form a smooth cake batter and add to the texture of the final product. It is always suggested to use room temperature eggs for baking to get the best results which refrigerated eggs won't bring.

Sugar - serve as a source of sweetness and adds to the color of the cake making it a bit brown. The recipe uses white sugar however you can also substitute it with brown sugar.

Oil - add moisture to the cake making it soft and fluffy.

How to make

Get all the ingredients

Take a bowl and add 1 cup of lemon cake mix to it

Add ½ cup water.

Add 3 tablespoon oil.

Add 3 eggs.

Mix it well

Pour the mixture into a silicone mold that fits your Instant Pot.

Place a trivet inside the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.

Place the cake mold on the trivet.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.

When cooking time is complete, do a quick pressure release.

Take out the cake, add lemon zest, sugar powder and any other toppings you like.

Ingredients

  • 1 box lemon cake mix
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • Place the cake mold pan on the trivet.
