Ponche Navideño Mexicano is made with water, fresh and dried fruits like Tamarind, Prunes, Hibiscus flower tea, Tejocote, cinnamon sticks, Raisins, and Piloncillo, etc.

Can I skip the Piloncillo cone?

Yes. No Piloncillo cones? No problem. Utilize brown sugar instead.

Can I skip the Teejocotes?

Yes. You shouldn't but you can! Utilize an extra apple instead.

Gather the necessary ingredients.

Pour a cup of water into the pot and add a piloncillo cone and cinnamon stick.

Saute at high for 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 guava sliced
  • 1 prune sliced
  • 1 apple sliced
  • 1 pear sliced
  • 1 tamarind
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 piloncillo cone (Brown sugar cone)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup tejocote
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 cup hibiscus flower tea

Instructions

  • Pour a cup of water into the Instant Pot and add a piloncillo cone and cinnamon stick.
  • Saute at high for 15 minutes.
  • Press "cancel" and add the other ingredients.
  • Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • When cooking time is complete, do a quick pressure release.
  • Serve warm and enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚
