Hi, This came out pretty good, but 30 minutes in an Instant Pot was definitely to long. Mine were not very tinder and a bit dry, but were eatable. After I took the steaks out, I used flour to make a gravy with the left over juices and it came out real good. Next, I will be trying an Irish Lamb Stew tomorrow as I had to many Lamb Steaks to start with after unthawing.
What a great idea to make a gravy! Sorry it turned out a bit dry. It can be hard with meat since everyone has their own preferences of how they like it cooked. I hope you try the recipe again sometime cooking for less time.
Hey Corrie, love your recipes. Can I just check.. high pressure for 30mins, is this a typo by any chance? I cooked my lamb steaks in the Pressure Cooker (I’m in Australia, so Lamb Steaks are 2cm thick by 10cm wide) put on for 2 mins and they were overdone. Or are you referring to Lamb Shanks perhaps? Thank you for your help. Ange
Hi Ange, thanks! It depends on how you like them cooked. If you like a medium-rare lamb, then yes, just a couple of minutes. This recipe gets the lamb super tender and falling apart like a pot roast.
