Ingredients
- 6 lb short ribs
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion sliced
- ½ cup bourbon
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 6 garlic cloves
- thyme
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Wash the ribs, dry them and season with salt on both sides.
- Press "saute" and add olive oil.
- Add short ribs and saute on both sides until brown.
- Take out the ribs and place aside.
- Add onions, garlic cloves, and bourbon in the pot and mix well.
- Add in cayenne pepper, paprika, balsamic vinegar, sugar and stir well.
- Place short ribs and add thyme, garlic, a pinch of salt on top.
- Add the stock and close the lid of the instant pot.
- Cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
- When cooking time is complete, wait for a natural pressure release.
- Take out the ribs and Press "saute".
- In a small bowl and mix cornstarch with water and add it in the broth.
- Mix well and let broth simmer till it’s a bit thick.
- Serve and enjoy 🙂
This was absolutely delicious!!! The ribs were so tender and tasty!!! I doubled the gravy ingredients so we could put gobs on the mashed potatoes, and it was fabulous!!! Great recipe!!!
