Pasta- The type of pasta is up to whatever you like. If you want to twirl the pasta on your fork, choose angel hair or spaghetti noodles. If you want to have smaller pieces and bites, choose penne, macaroni, or shells. (or if you’re feeling really wild, mix it up and try them all!) 

Feta- The feta cheese is really the star of the show. It’s the perfect balance of saltiness and creaminess and really pairs so well with the noodles and tomatoes. You can find feta cheese at the store in the cheese section. 

Cherry Tomatoes- I love using cherry tomatoes because they’re a great size, and they have a tart and sweet taste. Grape tomatoes would also be a great option as well. 

Garlic Cloves- It is used in almost all types of recipes.  It gives a particular taste and texture to the recipe.

Spices - Add taste and texture to the recipe and help bring out the flavors. 

Rosemary- Adding rosemary not only gives warmth to this recipe in terms of flavor, but it’s a lovely smell as well.

How to Make Instant Pot TikTok Feta Pasta

Before beginning any recipe, make sure that you have all the ingredients listed. There’s nothing worse than starting a recipe and not being able to finish it because something is missing. 

Step One: Add 1 cup of cherry tomatoes to a heat-safe bowl, and then add 8 ounces of feta cheese. 

Step Two: Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl and then add the chopped garlic and shallot. 

Step Three: Pour in ½ teaspoon of kosher salt. 

Step Four: Add ½ teaspoon of chili flakes. 

Step Five:  Next, add 1 tablespoon of black pepper. 

Step Six: Then add ½ tablespoon of thyme. 

Step Seven: Add 10 ounces of uncooked pasta to the bowl. 

Step Eight: Pour ½ cup of water over the top of all the added ingredients. 

Step Nine: Add a trivet to the bottom of the Instant Pot and then pour in 1 cup of water. Place the glass dish full of ingredients into the Instant Pot.

Step Ten: Add a sprig of rosemary and then place the bowl into the Instant Pot.

Step Eleven: Put on the lid and cook for 8 minutes at high pressure. 

Step Twelve: Do a quick pressure release once the time is up, and then take off the lid.

Variations

Change up the cheese - While the star of this pasta recipe is the added feta cheese, you can change up the recipe and try using a different cheese and see what you think. Variation in recipes is never a bad idea!  

Chop up fresh tomatoes  - Smaller tomatoes are great to use, but if you don’t happen to have any on hand, you can cut up larger tomatoes and use those instead. 

Vary the seasoning - You can add in other herbs, leave out a few, or mix and match as you see fit. 

Helpful Tips 

While feta cheese is pretty good about holding its shape, even when hot, it’s a good idea to not overly stir the pasta once it’s cooked and ready to serve. Just scoop out a serving and set it on the plate so that you don’t risk mushing or mashing up the feta cheese too much. 

The tomatoes will actually hold heat longer than any other ingredient in this recipe. This is just a pro tip from me to you in case you have little ones eating this so that they won’t burn their mouths.

How to Store

Leftover pasta is delicious. As long as you store them in an airtight container, you should be able to keep them fresh for up to 4 days. 

While you can freeze this pasta for up to 3 months, I think it’s best fresh. I don’t really recommend freezing this pasta dish because pasta tends to change the texture a bit once it’s frozen and then thawed. Just plan on eating this recipe fresh during the week that you make it.

When it comes to reheating this feta pasta recipe, you have options. You can pop it into the microwave for a short time or even use the Instant Pot as well. 

The fastest way to reheat is to use the microwave. Just be sure that you’re using a microwave-safe dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove chopped
  • 1 shallot chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 8 oz feta

  • Place the pasta dish with all the ingredinets inside the instant pot and add a sprig of rosemary.
  • Put on the Instant Pot lid and cook at high pressure for 8 minutes.
  • Do a quick reliease and then open the lid.

  • Chop up the onion and garlic into small pieces.
