Why This Recipe Works

This air fryer radish chips recipe works on so many levels. For a family that is on a budget or doesn't grow their own, radishes are an incredibly cost-effective item. And even though they may not look like much, a bunch of radishes can go a long way.

This cruciferous superfood is full of antioxidants and a range of vitamins and minerals that help fight off diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Additionally, air frying them, as opposed to deep frying, keeps this a low-cholesterol snack that you can feel good about.

Ingredients

Radishes - The fresher the radish, the better. Since they are root vegetables, make sure you gently scrub them good to remove excess dirt.

Olive Oil - An extra-virgin olive oil is best. Avocado oil is also a great substitute as a heart-healthy option.

Garlic Powder - You can also use onion powder, paprika, thyme, coriander, rosemary, or any other of your favorite herbs and spices. Have fun with it.

Add some salt and pepper, and that's it! With 3 simple ingredients, you can make a delicious snack that the whole family will love.

How to Make Air Fryer Radish Chips

Step One: Give your radishes a good washing, gently removing any excess dirt. Make sure they are good and dry before you begin cooking.

Step Two: Slice your radishes into quarter-inch-thick slices.

Step ThreeAdd your olive oil and toss to coat.

Step Four: Add your seasonings and toss to coat.

Step Five: Place the radishes in the basket evenly spaced and cook for 10 minutes at 360.

Step Six: Serve and enjoy!

Tips

  • For a consistent cut on your radishes, use a mandolin. This tool will help you achieve the desired thickness of your radishes. If you cut them too thick, they won't get crispy, and if you cut them too thin, there won't be anything there to cook.
  • Always try to premix your seasonings together before adding them to any wet ingredients. This allows for a more even distribution of your herbs and spices.
  • This air fryer radish recipe uses a few simple ingredients but feel free to think outside the box with it. Use any herbs and spices you like to season with.

What to Serve With Air Fryer Radish Chips

You will never run out of ways to serve this delicious keto air fryer radish chips recipe. Serve them up with some Instant Pot kale chips as a healthy snack. Add Instant Pot fig jam and some radish fries to your favorite meats, cheeses, and other accouterments to create a stunning charcuterie. You can even add some crunch to your Instant Pot chicken pad Thai or favorite salad.

Recipe FAQs

How long can air fryer radish chips be stored?

This radish fries recipe is best served fresh out of the air fryer. In the unlikely event that you have any leftovers, you can store them in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. If stored in the refrigerator, the chips can turn soggy really quickly.

Can I make these without an air fryer?

While this recipe is for air fryer radish chips, you can make them without the air fryer. Prepare your radishes and seasonings the same way and then bake for 20-25 minutes at 400F, turning every 5-10 minutes to get both sides crispy.

Can I use any other vegetables with this recipe?

There are so many veggies you can do in your air fryer, like kale, parsnip, and sweet potato. You can even make chips from your favorite fruits, such as apples, bananas, and pears.
