So we decided to take the challenge to another level and make this sweet candy in the Instant Pot!

What is Dalgona Candy?
The Dalgona Candy has the lion's share in one of the most famous Netflix show Squid Game.
Korean Dalgona Candy is also known as the "Honeycomb toffee" or precisely, 달고나 (it's sweet).
A common street food Korea promoted during the 70s and 80s with a sweet toffee flavor.
If you successfully cut the shape out of it then you win ANOTHER, FREE OF COST!
Does it taste like coffee?
You must have confused Dalgona coffee with Dalgona candy.
No, it doesn't take like coffee because it has no coffee in it. It's just a sweet candy 🙂
What do I need to enter the challenge?
Just some sugar and baking soda. Yes, just the two ingredients!

Why add baking soda to Dalgona Candy?
Squid Game Dalgona Candy is whipped with a tad of baking soda so it is puffed up.
Besides, it looks really cute 🙂
Can I make it ahead of time?
Of course, make a second batch and keep it stored in an airtight container.
How to make Instant Pot Korean Dalgona Candy?
Gather the two MAGICAL ingredients.
Saute the Instant Pot to NORMAL for 5 minutes and add sugar (¼ cup or 50 g)
Keep stirring until it becomes a thick mixture and then add baking soda (1 tsp or 5 g).
Now stir and stir!
The mixture now becomes a thick golden mixture.
Now take a silicon mold and quickly transfer the mixture to it.
Use a cutter of different shapes to make it more attractive.
Repeat the process and make as many as you want and ace the DALGONA CANDY CHALLENGE. 🙂

Instant Pot Korean Dalgona Candy
- Instant Pot
- Silicone Mold
- ¼ cup sugar 50 g
- 1 teaspoon baking soda 5 g
- Turn on the Instant Pot and press "saute".
- Add sugar and stir for a few minutes until it becomes a thick mixture.
- Add baking soda and stir well to mix.
- Pour the mixture into a silicone mold.
- Make your favorite shape using a cutter.
- Serve and enjoy 🙂
