Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta
  • 2 medium heads of broccoli
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • A few minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water.
  • In a separate pan, heat the olive oil and sauté finely chopped garlic until golden.
  • Drain the pasta and broccoli, saving about a cup of the pasta water.
  • Add the pasta and broccoli to the garlic and olive oil. Toss well.
  • Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix. If the mixture seems too dry, add a bit of the saved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
