Pepperoni pizza is a favorite for many people. What's not to like? Pizza dough, sauce, mozzarella cheese, and slices of pepperoni are a slice of paradise on a plate. What's even better is the addition of tiny pineapple wedges. It's an ideal combination of savory, salty, and sweet, without one flavor profile overpowering the rest.

2. Hot Cheetos and Cream Cheese

Nothing brings the heat like a bag of Hot Cheetos. If you've never tried them and you like spicy food, you have to try these snacks. If the heat of Hot Cheetos is a little too intense for you, a side of cream cheese is an excellent way to turn down the heat a bit. A whipped cream cheese is easier to dip, but the block cream cheese also works.

3. Peanut Butter and Dill Pickles

Peanut butter goes with many different foods, but this might be the one combination few people — who weren't pregnant women dealing with cravings — have dared to attempt. Surprisingly, someone on the thread says this is a pretty good snack, especially on bread. I'm unsure about the smoothness and slight sweetness of peanut butter and the sour flavor of dill pickles. I'll take their word on that one.

4. Barbecue Chips and Cottage Cheese

This is a duo I never would have imagined, much less see that somebody likes to eat. Cottage cheese is usually eaten with fruit or by itself. Eating cottage cheese with barbecue chips sounds odd. Potato chips with other types of cheese, like American or cheddar, isn't unusual, but eating them with cottage cheese is a new one.

5. Cheez-Its and Chocolate

Cheez-Its are a terrific snack in and of themselves and are wildly popular across America. Ask anyone who has bought a large box of Cheez-Its how long they lasted before the box was empty. They'll probably say not long. According to somebody in the discussion, Cheez-Its have an even better flavor when eaten with a bit of chocolate. They might be on to something as long as it's not too much chocolate.

6. Hot Dogs and Eggs

You can add almost anything to scrambled eggs, which taste amazing, such as meat, cheese, and vegetables. The meats in scrambled eggs typically include bacon, ham, pieces of and sausage. However, a person in the online chat declares that chopped-up hot dogs in scrambled eggs make a fine meal. I'll leave that one to the more adventurous eaters out there.

7. Grilled Peanut Butter Sandwich

You would be hard-pressed to find anyone who hates grilled cheese sandwiches. It's practically a food legend. But a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich may be a harder sell, and that's a shame because it's pretty good. The slightly melted peanut butter and jelly make a more flavorful sandwich than the traditional version.

8. Spaghetti and Maple Syrup

If you like to mix savory and sweet flavors, then you may enjoy the flavors of spaghetti with maple syrup. When you think about it, there's some merit to the blending of the two flavors. It may not necessarily work with Alfredo or marinara sauce. Still, a plate of plain spaghetti with a dash of salt and drizzled with maple syrup is intriguing.

9. Peanut Butter, Banana, and Mayonnaise

This one made me do a double-take. Still, a person in the discussion describes how when they were growing up, their mom made them a banana snack with peanut butter and mayonnaise. They claim mayonnaise adds a tangy kick to the concoction. I love peanut butter and sliced banana sandwiches, but adding mayonnaise to the mix? I don't know about that.

10. Mango and Guacamole

Mangos are a delicious fruit with smooth flesh and a light flavor. They can be eaten in numerous ways: plain, in smoothies, in salsa, in cakes, and in curries. Their delicate taste doesn't overwhelm the flavors of other foods. Surprisingly, a participant in the group says that mangos go beautifully with guacamole. It's an odd pairing since guacamole is mostly a dip for tortilla chips. But it's something I would be willing to try!
