Optional: Add-ins like shredded cheesegarlic powder, or chopped herbs
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually stir in the milk until a dough forms. If using any add-ins, fold them into the dough now.
On a lightly floured surface, gently knead the dough a few times. Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.
Place biscuits in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don't touch. You may need to cook in batches.
Cook at 400°F for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Keep your butter cold for the flakiest biscuits.
• Don't overmix the dough to avoid tough biscuits.
• Preheat your air fryer for a more even cook.
• Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
• Experiment with add-ins like cheese or herbs for different flavors.
