Rinse the corned beef brisket under cold water to remove excess salt.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper to create a paste.
Rub the paste evenly over the entire surface of the brisket.
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the corned beef in the air fryer basket and cook for about 90 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Halfway through cooking, flip the brisket to ensure even cooking.
Once done, let the corned beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
Trim excess fat from the brisket before cooking to ensure it gets crispy.
• Let the corned beef rest for at least 10 minutes after cooking before slicing to retain its juices.
• Use the air fryer basket, not the rack, to keep the brisket from drying out.
• Slice against the grain for the most tender pieces.
• Preheat your air fryer for a few minutes before adding the corned beef to ensure even cooking.
