for decoration
Instructions
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Stir in food coloring until you achieve the desired color.
Remove from heat and stir in the rice cereal until well coated with the marshmallow mix.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch pan and press down firmly.
Let it cool and set for about 1-2 hours.
Once set, cut into squares or use cookie cutters for desired shapes.
Add chocolate chips or candy eyes to make spooky faces.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Use a spatula or spoon coated with non-stick spray to handle the sticky marshmallow mixture more easily.
To get even squares or shapes, use a sharp knife or cookie cutters sprayed with non-stick spray.
Press the mixture firmly into the pan to ensure they hold together when cut.
Let the mixture cool completely before adding chocolate chip or candy eyes for clearer faces.
If using food coloring, add it to the melted marshmallow and butter mix for even color distribution.
