Ingredients
1
cup
cornmeal
1
cup
all-purpose flour
8-10
hot dogs
1
cup
milk
1
large egg
Instructions
Mix cornmeal, flour, milk, and egg in a bowl until smooth.
Cut the hot dogs into smaller pieces (about 2 inches long) and skewer them with popsicle sticks.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Dip each skewered hot dog into the batter, making sure it's well-coated.
Fry in the hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Drain on a paper towel and serve hot.
Notes
Skewer the hot dogs with popsicle sticks for easy dipping and eating.
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying; otherwise, the batter will get soggy.
You can test the oil by dropping a tiny bit of batter in; if it sizzles, it's ready.
Don't overcrowd the frying pan; cook a few mini corn dogs at a time.
Drain the cooked corn dogs on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
