Ingredients
1
pound
Ground Beef
1
can or 2 cups fresh Green Beans
1
can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1
cup
shredded Cheddar Cheese
1
small Onion
chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions until soft.
In a large mixing bowl, combine browned beef, onions, green beans, and cream of mushroom soup. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Pre-cook the green beans if you're using fresh ones to make them tender.
Season the beef well while browning it; this adds flavor to the entire dish.
You can prepare the ingredients ahead of time for quick assembly.
Casseroles are forgiving. Feel free to tweak quantities or ingredients.
You can double the recipe for larger gatherings; just use a bigger baking dish and adjust cooking time.
