ground beef
1
medium-sized onion
finely chopped

Scotch Bonnet pepper
finely chopped

teaspoon
curry powder
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
1
teaspoon
paprika
Salt to taste
Pastry dough enough for 10 patties
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a pan, sauté the onions and Scotch Bonnet pepper until the onions are translucent.
Add the ground beef to the pan and break it apart.
Add the curry powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well.
Cook until the beef is browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
Roll out your pastry dough and cut it into circles about 6 inches in diameter.
Spoon some beef mixture onto one half of each circle.
Fold the dough over the beef to create a half-moon shape. Seal the edges by crimping with a fork.
Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Notes
For even more flavor, marinate the beef overnight.
Make sure to finely chop the Scotch bonnet pepper and onion so that they mix well into the beef.
If using pre-made dough, let it thaw to room temperature before rolling it out.
When sealing the patties, use a fork to crimp the edges for a traditional look.
Be cautious when handling Scotch bonnet peppers. They are very spicy. Use gloves or wash your hands well after.
