Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into 4-5 equal-sized patties.
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Choose ground beef with a bit of fat (like 80/20) for juicier patties.
Avoid over-mixing the beef mixture; it can make the patties tough.
Let the patties rest for a few minutes after shaping them before cooking.
