Ingredients
4
boneless
skinless chicken breasts
8
slices
of ham
8
slices
of Swiss cheese
1
can of cream of chicken soup
1
cup
of bread crumbs
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Layer the chicken, ham, and cheese in a casserole dish.
Pour the cream of chicken soup over the top.
Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly over the top.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
Notes
Make sure the chicken is cooked thoroughly. You can check this by ensuring its internal temperature is 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.
Be careful not to overcook the casserole, as it can cause the chicken to become tough and the cheese to separate.
You can prepare the casserole ahead of time and refrigerate it. Just add the bread crumbs right before you bake it.
To keep the casserole moist, cover it with foil while baking and remove it for the last 15 minutes to brown the top.
Feel free to customize the casserole to your taste. Add vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra nutrients.
