Ingredients
4
cube steaks
Salt
pepper, and garlic powder to season
2
tablespoons
olive oil
2
tablespoons
butter
2-3
cloves
of garlic
minced
Instructions
Season both sides of the cube steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the cube steaks to the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until a brown crust forms.
Add the butter and garlic to the pan, and cook for another minute.
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Be sure to allow your steak to come to room temperature before cooking; it ensures even cooking.
Don't overcrowd the pan when searing the steaks; this allows for a proper crust to form.
Cook the steak in batches if needed. This maintains the pan's heat and prevents steaming the meat.
Let the steak rest after searing. This allows the juices to redistribute within the steak, keeping it juicy and tender.
Don't be afraid to adjust the heat as needed. If the steak is browning too quickly, lower the heat.
