Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook pasta shells according to package directions for al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook ground meat until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a bowl, combine cooked meat, ricotta cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a deep baking dish.
Fill each pasta shell with the meat and cheese mixture, then place in the baking dish.
Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Cook pasta shells just until al dente to prevent overcooking when baking.
Use a piping bag or a ziplock with the corner cut off to fill shells easily.
Customize the filling with your favorite herbs and spices.
Make ahead and freeze before baking for a quick meal in the future.
Use a deep baking dish to hold the shells snugly and ensure even cooking.
