Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix ¾ cup flour, ¼ cup sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven.
In another bowl, combine the remaining flour, brown sugar, almond extract, salt, eggs, and baking powder. Mix well.
Gently fold in the cranberries and half of the sliced almonds.
Pour this mixture over the baked crust. Sprinkle the remaining almonds on top.
Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
Let cool in the pan on a wire rack, then cut into bars.
