olive oil
1
teaspoon
salt
½
teaspoon
black pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish
optional
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
Cut the top off each garlic bulb to expose some of the cloves inside.
Drizzle olive oil over the top of each bulb, ensuring some gets into the cloves. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
Place the garlic bulbs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other.
Roast for 20-30 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden. Check frequently to avoid burning.
Allow the garlic to cool slightly before using. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Serve as desired – spread on bread, mixed into recipes, or as a garnish.
Notes
Choose large, firm garlic bulbs with tight, unbroken skins for the best flavor.
Don’t peel the garlic bulbs; keeping the cloves intact in their skins helps them roast without burning.
Check the garlic often while roasting to avoid overcooking, as garlic can become bitter if burnt.
Use a spoon or fork to squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skin after cooking.
Store any leftover roasted garlic in the fridge in an airtight container; it adds great flavor to various recipes.
