½
cup
butter
1
teaspoon
salt
1 ½
cups
Parmesan cheese
grated
2
beaten eggs
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, butter, and salt. Stir occasionally until hot but not boiling.
Remove the milk mixture from heat and slowly add tapioca flour, stirring constantly until thoroughly mixed.
Set the mixture aside to cool for 15 minutes, then mix in the cheese and beaten eggs.
Knead the mixture until smooth and then roll into 1-inch balls. Place them on your lined baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until the balls are puffed and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve warm.
Notes
Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before you start mixing.
Don't substitute more than one main ingredient; it could significantly change the outcome.
Be careful not to overmix the batter as it can become tough and lose its unique texture.
You can freeze the dough balls for later use; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time when you cook them from frouncesen.
Experiment with different cheeses for various flavors and textures.
