Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches and ½ cup of sugar, and let sit to macerate for about 10 minutes.
In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, milk, baking powder, salt, and vanilla to form a batter.
Pour the peaches into a baking dish, and dollop the batter on top in an even layer.

Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.
