Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
Butter one side of each bread slice. Optionally, sprinkle garlic and onion powder over the buttered side for extra flavor.
Place the cheese (and any additional fillings) between the non-buttered sides of the bread.
Place the sandwich in the air fryer and cook for about 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve as desired.
Notes
Preheat the air fryer before placing the sandwich in it for a crispier exterior.
Ensure cheese is at room temperature to facilitate even and quick melting.
Butter the outer sides of the bread generously to achieve a perfect golden crust.
Don’t overstuff the sandwich; it ensures even cooking and melting of the cheese.
Feel free to customize with additional fillings like ham, tomato, or cooked bacon.
