Ingredients
4
tilapia fillets
1
lemon
sliced
4
garlic cloves
minced
2
tablespoons
olive oil
2
tablespoons
fresh parsley
chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: cherry tomatoes
olives, capers, etc.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place each tilapia fillet on a piece of foil large enough to fold over and seal.
Drizzle olive oil on each fillet. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Lay lemon slices on top of the fillets and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Add optional ingredients like cherry tomatoes or olives if desired.
Fold the foil over the tilapia and seal it to create a packet.
Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Carefully open the foil (watch for steam) and serve the tilapia hot.
Notes
Ensure the foil is sealed tightly to keep all the juices in and properly steam the fish.
Use fresh lemon slices for a burst of citrus flavor and aesthetic appeal.
Avoid overcooking the tilapia as it can become rubbery.
Personalize your recipe by adding other favorite spices or herbs.
Allow the fish to rest for a few minutes after baking before serving.
