½
cup
buffalo sauce
½
cup
cream cheese
softened
1
cup
shredded cheese
cheddar or mozzarella
2
green onions
chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
Mix in the buffalo sauce and cream cheese until well combined.
Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
Notes
For a smoother dip, process the chickpeas in a blender or food processor before mixing with other ingredients.
If you're using canned chickpeas, ensure to rinse and drain them thoroughly to remove the excess sodium.
Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce according to your desired spice level.
The dip can be prepared a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
Garnish with additional chopped green onions or a drizzle of buffalo sauce for presentation.
