cup
bread crumbs
2
eggs
½
cup
ketchup
⅓
cup
brown sugar
Instructions
In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, and eggs. Mix until just combined.
Shape into small meatballs and place on a baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
In a saucepan, combine ketchup and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve warm.
Notes
For uniform meatballs, use an ice cream scoop or tablespoon to portion out the meat.
Don't overmix the meatball mixture; it can make them tough.
Simmering the meatballs in the sauce for a bit helps them soak up flavor.
These can be made ahead and frozen. Just reheat in the sauce before serving.
Want a spicy kick? Add a dash of chili flakes or hot sauce to the mixture.
