Ingredients
1
pound
thinly sliced beef
ribeye or sirloin
1-2
bell peppers
sliced
1
large onion
thinly sliced
4
slices
of Provolone or American cheese
4
hoagie rolls
Instructions
Heat a well-oiled skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, cook the bell peppers and onions until they're soft.
Add the cooked beef back to the skillet with the veggies.
Lay the cheese slices over the beef and veggies. Cover the skillet for a minute to let the cheese melt.
While the cheese is melting, preheat your hoagie rolls in the oven.
Once the cheese is melted, divide the meat, veggies, and cheese into the four hoagie rolls.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Slice the beef while it's partially frozen; it makes it easier to get thin slices.
Use a hot, well-oiled skillet or griddle for quick and even cooking.
Cook the veggies until they're soft but not mushy; they should still have some bite.
Layer the cheese on the meat while it's still in the pan to help it melt perfectly.
Preheat your hoagie rolls in the oven for a couple of minutes for a toasty crunch.
