Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, water, and dry onion soup mix. Stir well.
Spread the uncooked rice evenly at the bottom of a baking dish.
Place the chicken pieces on top of the rice.
Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and rice.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours. Ensure the chicken is fully cooked and the rice is tender.
Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use skinless chicken pieces for a less greasy outcome.
Brown the chicken first for additional flavor, though it's optional.
