Ingredients
1
whole chicken
2
tablespoons
olive oil
2
teaspoons
salt
1
teaspoon
black pepper
1
tablespoon
chopped fresh rosemary
Instructions
Preheat your rotisserie to medium heat.
Clean the chicken and pat it dry.
Rub the chicken with olive oil.
Mix the salt, pepper, and rosemary together and sprinkle the mixture all over the chicken.
Truss the chicken and secure it on the rotisserie spit.
Cook the chicken for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 15 minutes before carving.
Notes
Make sure your chicken is at room temperature before you start cooking to ensure even cooking.
Truss the chicken for better heat circulation and to maintain a good shape.
Make sure to pat the chicken dry before applying the olive oil and spices. This helps achieve a crispy skin.
Don't rush the cooking process; slow and steady will result in juicy meat.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is fully cooked. It should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
