Ingredients
4
boneless
skinless chicken breasts
1
cup
BBQ sauce
¼
cup
brown sugar
2
tablespoons
apple cider vinegar
2
cloves
garlic
minced
Instructions
Preheat your grill or oven to medium heat.
In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and garlic to make the glaze.
Brush the chicken with the glaze on both sides.
Place the chicken on the grill/oven and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the glaze, until it's cooked through.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, you can remove the skin from the chicken breasts before cooking.
You can marinate the chicken in the BBQ sauce mixture for a couple of hours or overnight for a more intense flavor.
Make sure to keep the heat medium-low while cooking the glaze. High heat can burn the sugar and ruin the flavor.
Keep basting the chicken with the sauce while it grills. It keeps the chicken moist and adds more flavor.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after it's cooked to ensure it stays juicy.
