of waffle mix
2
cups
of milk
2
eggs
Maple syrup to taste
Instructions
Preheat your waffle iron and preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix your waffle mix, milk, and eggs in a large bowl until combined. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Pour the batter into your preheated waffle iron and cook according to the waffle iron instructions. Keep cooked waffles warm in the oven.
While your waffles are cooking, season your chicken with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like.
Bake your chicken in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (73.9°C).
Serve your chicken on top of your waffles and drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy!
Notes
Always rest your waffle batter for about 10 minutes before cooking, this helps it thicken and results in fluffier waffles.
Don't overmix your waffle batter as it can lead to tough waffles.
Cook the chicken at the right temperature (165°F or 73.9°C) to ensure it's safe to eat but still juicy.
Keep the cooked waffles warm in an oven at a low temperature while you're preparing the rest of the meal.
Feel free to add spices to your chicken for more flavor. Paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder are great choices.
