Instructions
Prepare sushi rice according to the package instructions.
Lay out a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat.
Spread a thin layer of sushi rice onto the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
Lay down a line of crab meat along the center of the rice.
Place cucumber slices on top of the crab meat.
Drizzle spicy mayo over the cucumber and crab meat.
Roll the sushi using the bamboo mat, applying pressure to keep the roll tight.
With a sharp knife, cut the roll into bite-sized pieces.
Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
Notes
Ensure your hands are slightly wet when handling sushi rice to prevent sticking.
When spreading the rice on the nori, leave a small border at the top to allow for a clean seal.
Don't overfill your sushi roll. It will be easier to roll and will hold together better if not overstuffed.
Use a sharp knife to cut your sushi roll. A dull knife can squish and disarrange the roll.
For an extra level of flavor, you could toast the nori sheets before using them.
