Ground Turkey
1
pound
Pasta
Whole grain spaghetti
1
jar Tomato Sauce
4
cloves
Garlic
minced
A handful of Fresh Basil
Instructions
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
Add minced garlic to the turkey and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
Pour in the tomato sauce and reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
Stir in the cooked pasta and fresh basil. Toss until the pasta is coated with the sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with extra fresh basil if desired.
Notes
Make sure to brown the turkey well for a deeper flavor profile.
Use a heavy-bottomed pan to prevent the sauce from scorching.
Don't overcook the pasta, it should be al dente.
Freshly grated parmesan cheese enhances the taste.
For a spicy kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
