Ingredients
4
ripe tomatoes
1
fresh mozzarella ball
1
loaf of crusty bread
2
cloves
of garlic
A bunch of fresh basil leaves
Olive oil
salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
Dice the tomatoes and mozzarella into bite-sized pieces.
Chop the basil leaves and mix with tomatoes and mozzarella.
Season with salt, pepper, and drizzle with olive oil.
Toast the bread until it's crispy and golden brown.
Rub a clove of garlic onto each toasted bread slice.
Top the bread with the tomato, mozzarella, and basil mixture.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Make sure your bread is toasted properly to give it a nice crunch which contrasts the soft tomatoes and mozzarella.
Cut your tomatoes and mozzarella into similar sized pieces for uniformity and better eating experience.
Avoid refrigerating the tomato mixture as it can become watery. Prepare it fresh whenever you want to serve.
Rub the garlic directly onto the warm toasted bread. It gives a subtle flavor that doesn't overpower the tomatoes and mozzarella.
Use a high-quality olive oil, it will make a huge difference in the taste.
