Ingredients
1
cup
of oatmeal
1
cup
of craisins
1½
cups
of all-purpose flour
1
cup
of sugar
half brown, half white
1
cup
of butter
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the oatmeal, flour, and sugar.
Add the butter to the mixture and combine until a dough forms.
Fold in the craisins until evenly distributed.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Scoop out tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure your butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
Don't overmix the dough; this can lead to tough cookies. Just mix until combined.
Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking. This helps the flavors meld together.
Don't overbake the cookies. They should be just golden around the edges.
Store leftover cookies in an airtight container to maintain their freshness.
