cheese tortellini

heavy cream

unsalted butter

grated Parmesan cheese

garlic

salt and pepper

Instructions
Boil a pot of salted water and cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a separate pan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat.
Garnish with optional parsley and/or red pepper flakes.
Serve and enjoy:)
Notes
Make sure to constantly stir the sauce while it's cooking to prevent it from burning or sticking to the pan.
Don't overcook the tortellini. They should be al dente - cooked so as to be still firm when bitten.
Grate your own Parmesan cheese. Pre-shredded cheese often has anti-caking agents that can make the sauce grainy.
Feel free to add protein like grilled chicken or shrimp to the dish for added nutrition.
Don't rinse the pasta after it's cooked. The starch on the pasta helps the sauce adhere better.
