Why This Recipe Works
The magic of this Yogurt Flatbread recipe lies in its simplicity and the use of Greek yogurt. The yogurt not only imparts a subtle tang but also enriches the dough, making the flatbreads exceptionally tender and moist. Unlike traditional bread recipes that may require proofing and kneading, this flatbread dough comes together in minutes and cooks just as quickly. This ease of preparation ensures that you can have fresh bread on the table in less than half an hour, making it perfect for busy days or impromptu meals.
Additionally, the versatility of these flatbreads is a huge plus. They serve as an excellent base for a variety of dishes. You can load them with savory fillings for a hearty wrap, use them to scoop up rich curries, or simply serve them with a selection of dips and spreads. The recipe can also be easily adjusted to include whole wheat flour for added nutrition or infused with herbs and spices for extra flavor. This adaptability makes Yogurt Flatbread a go-to recipe that fits seamlessly into any meal, enhancing your dining experience with minimal effort.

FAQs
Do I need to let the flatbread dough rest before cooking?
It isn’t essential, but you can let the dough rest for 10 to 15 minutes after kneading. This relaxes the gluten, making each piece easier to roll without constantly springing back.
Can I add cheese?
Yes. Add about ½ to 1 cup of shredded cheese to the dough. Cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, or feta all work well. Mix it in with the flour before adding the yogurt so it gets evenly distributed throughout the flatbread.
Can I add herbs?
Yes. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh herbs, such as parsley, cilantro, dill, or chives. You can also use 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried herbs. Mix them into the dry ingredients before adding the yogurt.

I made these with Greek yogurt last night
I just finished making this yogurt flatbread and it's delicious! I used a cast iron skillet with coconut oil. I liked not having to wait between mixing and cooking. It took me 1 hour start to finish (I'm slower than you). Of course I had to eat a whole piece with peanut butter and honey to taste test! This is an easy alternative to the tortillas I make. I'll check out some more of your great recipes. Thanks, Corrie!
