Add ¼ cup of sugar, ¾ teaspoon vanilla, 2 tablespoon butter, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and milk to the bowl and combine.
Spray a baking pan (that fits inside your Instant Pot) with cooking spray.
Place the bread pieces inside the baking pan and then pour the mixture over the top.
Add raisins and pecans on top and cover with aluminum foil.
Add water to the Instant Pot and place a trivet inside.
Place the baking pan on the trivet and put on the Instant Pot lid.
Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
When cooking time is complete, do a natural pressure release.
To make the sauce to pour on top of the bread, melt 2 tablespoon of butter in a small pan.
Add ¼ cup of sugar, heavy cream and ¼ teaspoon vanilla and mix. Mix and let the mixture come to a boil.
The bread should be done cooking in the Istnat Pot at this point. Open the lid and take out the cooked bread. Pour the sauce over the top of the bread.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes
If you're worried that the bread pudding might not be done all the way, check the internal temperature! Using a food thermometer, the reading should be at least 160 degrees.
All stale bread should be fine for this recipe.
In order to halve the recipe, simply cut all the ingredients in half and reduce the cooking time to 20 minutes. You may want to use a smaller pan that better accommodates that amount if you have one.
